🏴‍☠️ We just celebrated our very first round of Pirate Proud recipients! 💜

These students are being recognized for showing great leadership, demonstrating good character, and understanding what it means to have empathy for others. We are so proud of the way they are making a difference through their everyday actions and choices!

On Friday, these students will participate in Pirate Proud Ambassador Training with Mrs. Jernigan, where they will continue learning how to lead, serve, and make others feel seen and valued. We can’t wait to see the impact they make! 💜🏴‍☠️

One of our favorite days of the year is Cast for Kids! 🎣 There is something so special about seeing our community volunteer their time, energy, and hearts to create unforgettable experiences for students across our district.

Today, Mrs. Franklin, Mrs. Nieto, Mrs. Wade, and Mrs. Everts’ students headed out on Lake Granbury for a day filled with fishing, delicious food, laughter, celebration, snow cones, and so many smiles! 💜

We are especially thankful for the amazing fifth grade students who partnered with these classes today. Watching our students support, encourage, and enjoy this experience alongside their friends was truly something special.

Thank you to everyone in our community who made Cast for Kids such a memorable day! 🎣💜

What an AMAZING week at Acton Elementary! 💜

We have loved every minute of this week—from our Book Fair and welcoming grandparents and special visitors on campus during lunches to our Family Bingo Night! Our campus has been full of smiles, laughter, and so many special memories.

We are so proud of the way we have started this first grading period, and we are thankful for our students, families, and staff who make Acton such a special place to be!

As we look ahead to next week, here are a few reminders:
📚 Monday, September 21 is a student holiday. Teachers will be hosting Parent/Teacher Conferences throughout the day.
👋 Hello Week kicks off the week!
📸 Thursday, September 24 is Fall Picture Day.
👗 Friday is Dolly Day for students who choose to participate. Kindergarten will celebrate Scarecrow Day instead!

Yesterday, we kicked off our first Family Huddle of the year with:

✨ Good Things led by our students
🏅 Celebrating Medals for Mastery: STAAR Success!
📣 Announcing Gold Coin Winners and PE Students of the Week
📚 Building excitement for what’s ahead this year
🫶 And a launch led by a sweet 5th grade student!

Family Huddle is one of those AES traditions that reminds us that we’re all on the same team. We celebrate together, encourage one another, and keep building a school where every student knows they belong.

Part 2 of our STAAR Masters Celebration! 🎉

This morning, we celebrated our students who earned the highest level of achievement—Masters—on their STAAR Reading or Math assessment! We are incredibly proud of the hard work, dedication, and growth they showed along the way.

One of the sweetest parts of our celebration was having their teachers from last year join us to celebrate their students and cheer them on. What a special reminder that great teaching and strong relationships leave a lasting impact! 💜💛

This week our students kicked off a new adventure at the YMCA! ⚽️

Mrs. Nieto, Mrs. Wade, and Mrs. Evert’s classes enjoyed their very first visit to the YMCA, where they practiced their soccer skills, built confidence, and had lots of fun along the way! We are already looking forward to all the visits and learning opportunities to come.

We are so thankful for our partnership with the YMCA and the wonderful opportunities they provide for our students. What a fun day! 💜
