VA Western Colorado Health Care System covers 17 counties in 2 states. The VAMC operates 53 beds comprised of 23 acute care and 30 Transitional Care Unit beds.

The facility serves 15,500+ patients and is the rural VA healthcare system that Veterans choose. The Grand Junction VA Medical Center (VAMC) serves 30,000 veterans residing on the Western Slope. The VAMC consists of one facility located in the city of Grand Junction; a Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) in Montrose, serving the southwestern Colorado counties; and a telehealth outreach clinic in Craig, serving northwestern Colorado and southwestern Wyoming. The VAMC provides primary and secondary care including acute medical, surgical, and psychiatric inpatient services, as well as a full range of outpatient services.

Thank you to everyone who joined us last Saturday for our spooktacular Trunk or Treat event! It was a wonderful day filled with creative costumes, decorative trunks, and lots of fun activities for the whole family. Join Us in the Fight Against Breast Cancer!

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month! The VA Western Colorado Health Care System is proud to stand in solidarity with those affected by breast cancer.

In our effort to raise awareness, we hosted a Pink Out Day where our dedicated employees and Veterans dressed in pink attire to shine a light on this important cause.

Breast cancer affects countless lives every year, and early detection is crucial. We encourage everyone to participate in screenings, and spread awareness within your communities.
