The Oneida ERA (OERA) program is scheduled to end on 9/30/2022 per US Treasury policy, applications received after this day will be denied. The program has served hundreds of Oneida families across the United States. In order to do our part and be in compliance while assisting as many households as possible, Economic Support is notifying the community that they must apply before 9/17/2022. The program cannot pay perspective financial assistance for rent or utilities past 9/30/2022. All applications received prior to 9/30/2022 can only be applied to arrears and current rent/utilities.

The office encourages families to budget and plan accordingly. Please see the flyer for details and/or call the office for additional information.

Delia Smith, Economic Support Director and Sean Powless, Job Training Counselor attended the Department of Workforce Development Consultation meeting in Mole Lake. These meetings are held annually to ensure there is an open line between the agency and the Tribal Nations.

Do you have a child entering grades K-12 this fall that needs school supplies? Our Tools for School program will be distributing supplies on August 8 and is currently accepting registrations through July 29. Families must be Brown County residents and low income to qualify. Date: Every third Tuesday of the Month

Anyone currently receiving Food Share who has been affected by the power outage of 4 hours are more, may request Replacement Issuance for Destroyed Food through the agency if their FS case is at our agency.

The form will be available at Economic Support on Monday, June 20, 2022 in our Lobby or in our pick up box located outside our door at 2640 West Point Road, Door #5 between the hours of 8 am - 4:30 PM. You must also make sure you submit the form within 10 days of the power outage.

We respectfully ask you wear a mask and don't come into the office if you are not feeling well. 6ft space, limited seating, and temperature checks will be required.

Our drop off, pick up, and pre printed applications boxes outside our front door will remain available. We will continue with our COVID practices regarding emailing documents, Social Media updates, and regular website updated.

PLEASE DIRECT ALL QUESTIONS/CONCERNS TO CRICKET WIRELESS DIRECTLY.....there is a Cricket Wireless store on the Oneida Reservation boundaries near Festival. You can receive your tax exempt. Also if you live on the Oneida Reservation you can receive an additional discount.

Cricket is participating in the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP), which is a federal program that helps qualifying households reduce the costs of eligible wireless service. For more information on ACP and available Cricket plans, visit cricketwireless.com/ACP

Society of St Vincent de Paul here in Green Bay has a phone extension and an email where individuals can submit a request for help at any time and on any day of the week. A home visit volunteer (Vincentian) will respond to their request as quickly as possible. This is the preferred way for people to reach out this charity – it will save individuals the cost and time of traveling here.

Please do not send individuals here on Tuesdays or Thursdays in particular. As of Monday, May 23rd, there will be no one on site to talk with them on these days.

Personal Responsibility Education Program for Teens
Newcap
April 19, 21, 26, 28; May 3, 5 from 4pm-6pm

Our free three-week program is part of the Personal Responsibility Education Program, also known as PREP, which is funded by the U.S Department of Health and Human Services. Our program uses high-quality evidence based curriculum to prepare adolescents with necessary skills to transition to adulthood. The goal of the Rights, Responsibility, Respect teen education program includes positive adolescent development, healthy relationships, healthy life skills, as well as pregnancy and STI prevention. There will be lessons, interactive activities, and guest speakers for a fun educational opportunity for high-school aged youth 14-19.

Participants will be eligible to receive a gift valuing $25 upon completion of the program (at least 75% attendance is required)

ICS "Feeding Our Families" Food Pantry is Open!

The ICS "Feeding Our Families" Food Pantry is now open! We stock non-perishable food and basic hygiene items. Anyone who needs basic food items can visit our Ashwaubenon office and request a bag of food and/or hygiene items, free of charge. The pantry is open Monday-Friday from 9:00 am- 3:30 pm (except on Holidays). Those who request items will be asked to select which items they want or need, and will be provided information on other resources in the community, such as pantries that stock fresh/perishable food items, and how to get connected with FoodShare. Recipients will also be given a short survey to complete, so we can evaluate how well the pantry is meeting the needs of our community.

Pantry donations are accepted and can be dropped off at our office. We are located at 2605 S. Oneida St, Suite 106 in Green Bay, WI 54304. If your business or organization is interested in hosting a food drive to collect food to donate to the pantry, please contact Lori at [email protected].
