Greenville County Human Relations Commission The Greenville County Human Relations Commission is a HUD-approved local Housing Counseling Agency.

Almost five decades ago a small group of ministers, college professors, prominent citizens and a few regular folks began meeting to discuss the rising racial tension in the area. Together they developed an action plan to mend relations and to open the lines of communication between the races. In 1969, Mayor Cooper White created the Human Relations Commission.

Last Friday, we partnered with the SC Bar South Carolina Bar Foundation for a Will Clinic. Fourteen families were able to create a Healthcare Power of Attorney and a Will! T See the video of what one client said about attending the clinic! The Greenville Financial Empowerment Center can still assist you in creating a will and a Power of Attorney.

Meiosha Wilson is our latest homeowner! Meiosha's first visit to the FEC was in November 2025! Her diligence and hard work earned her homeownership in less than 1 year! Congratulations to Meiosha!
