Today is the unofficial end of summer, and we are going out with a splash! It is the last day of the outdoor swimming pool season at the Groveport Aquatic Center.

Grab the sunscreen, round up the family, and come cool off one last time today!

What a great day at this year’s KidsFest yesterday!

Even though the weather looked a bit uncertain, the rain stopped just in time and gave us a morning full of family fun and big smiles. 🌤️

🚒 Touch-A-Truck: Kids loved getting behind the wheel of their favorite Fire, Police, and Public Service trucks and meeting our incredible local heroes.

🚁 The MedFlight helicopter landing and the rhythm of the Children’s Drumline brought so much extra energy this year!

🫧 Pure Fun: From diving into the foam zone and bouncing around to catching free pickleball lessons, the park was buzzing.

We want to send a huge thank you to everyone who came out to share the morning with us. Your energy and smiles made all the hard work worth it. ❤️

We also want to give a special shoutout to our amazing partners, including the Groveport Pickleball Club, our local heroes, and the vendors who made this day possible. We could not have done it without your incredible support! 🤝

THROWBACK THURSDAY!

🛠️ With Labor Day coming up this Monday, we wanted to honor the workers who have shaped our community through every phase of its growth.

This photo from 1908 shows a crew tearing down the old Methodist Church at the corner of Main and College Streets to make way for progress. The existing Methodist Church you see at that same site today was built to replace this structure.

Fun historical facts about this shot:

▪️ The View: The photo was taken from approximately College Street and Hickory Alley.
▪️ The Road: The dirt road running alongside the church is College Street. It wouldn't be paved for another seven years (in 1915).

New Vendor registration kicks off tomorrow (Thursday, September 3rd)! Spaces are limited and you get to pick your location upon payment. Spots fill up fast, so don't wait!

▪ Step 2: Submit your completed application along with payment.

▪ ⏰ Town Hall Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Tomorrow, Wednesday, September 2nd, is the final day for sellers to register their homes! Whether you want to clear out clutter before winter or get your sale on the official map, make sure to sign up before Town Hall closes tomorrow.

🗓️ THE DETAILS (Rain or Shine):
▪️ Event Dates: Friday, Sept. 11 & Saturday, Sept. 12
▪️ Time: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM daily
▪️ Registration Fee: $5 per household
▪️ Where to Sign Up: Groveport Town Hall (648 Main St.)
▪️ What’s Included: Official garage sale sign, sticker price sheet, online listing, and your permit.

🗺️ MAPPING & ADDRESS RULES:
▪️ To Be Mapped: Your home must sit within the 185-MADISON TWP-GROVEPORT CORP tax district to be included on the printed and interactive Google maps.
▪️ Out-of-District Homes: Certain Columbus and Canal Wi******er addresses qualify. Your sale will be listed text-only but not mapped. Please check your local municipality for separate permit rules.
