Join Tracy Tomaselli for a fascinating presentation on Guilford during the American Revolution. Featuring newly uncovered historical research, this program explores how war transformed daily life in the shoreline town and why Guilford’s coast was strategically important.

Discover the stories of local soldiers who defended the shoreline, the Native Americans and African Americans who served, and the families who endured raids, disease, economic hardship, and divided loyalties between Patriots and Tories. Learn how Benedict Arnold’s planned attack on Guilford was thwarted and gain a deeper understanding of the courage, sacrifice, and resilience that shaped Guilford’s role in America’s fight for independence.

𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘆 𝗧𝗼𝗺𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗶 is the Historical Room Specialist at Guilford Free Library, a genealogist, and serves on the Board of Directors for the Guilford Preservation Alliance and Alder Brook Cemetery. She is dedicated to preserving and sharing Guilford’s local history and genealogical heritage.

The Guilford Free Library will be closed on Monday 3/25 for Memorial Day, but we will be back on Tuesday with more programs for you! Come to Time for Twos, Sunshine Storytime, or Thursday's Evening Storytime where a high school volunteer will be making Oobleck with kids!
