🏈💙 I TRUST MY TEAM!

During our first pep rally, Dr. Tawater put her trust in our football team for the “I Trust My Team” Challenge—and with these boys on a winning streak, who better to trust?!

Needless to say, we had a blast, and Dr. Tawater was a trooper through it all! The challenge definitely brought plenty of excitement! And let’s just say… we can definitely tell who plays defense! 👀😜🏈

Mrs. Griffin and Mrs. Ruiz would like to say a big gracias to all the parents who contributed to our Hispanic Heritage Month celebration! Students researched a Hispanic topic of their choice and created beautiful posters to decorate our school, and we closed out the week enjoying delicious treats and traditional dishes donated by our wonderful families. ¡Feliz Hispanic Heritage Month! ¡Unidos somos más! / United we are more!

💙🧡 Gulfport Pride + Viking Victory Day!

Friday’s Gulfport Pride Spirit Day was extra special as we celebrated our Vikings’ MAAP success with Viking Victory Day! 🎉

From fun activities and snacks to plenty of time with friends, our students had the BEST time celebrating all their hard work and accomplishments. It was the perfect way to wrap up Spirit Week and head into Fall Break!

Hard work deserves to be celebrated—way to go, Vikings!

🏆 VIKING VICTORY LUNCH!

On Thursday, we held a special Victory Lunch for our 6-8 grade Vikings who earned a Perfect Score and/or scored Advanced in BOTH Math and ELA on the MAAP state test last school year! 🎉

With their Victory Passports in hand, students entered the gym for a private lunch with friends, music, and special privileges to celebrate their achievement. This was the first of many rewards for these Vikings, continuing to more on Friday!

Hard work and excellence deserve to be recognized and rewarded, and we are so proud of what these Vikings accomplished! 👏 Congratulations, Vikings — you earned this!

🎶 Congratulations to our BVMS Choir Honor Choir students! 🎶

We are incredibly proud to celebrate 22 outstanding BVMS Choir students who earned a place in Honor Choir this year. In just one year, we have doubled our Honor Choir acceptances—a wonderful reflection of the dedication, talent, and hard work of our students and the exciting growth of the BVMS Choir program!

These students will join middle school singers from across Mississippi for a three-day conference, where they will rehearse together and present a concert after only two rehearsals. What an amazing musical experience!

A special congratulations to Sophia N., Hannah M., and Emily B., who were ranked among the top five Soprano 1 singers in the entire state!

🔄 SWAP DAY!

Our Vikings definitely understood the assignment for Day 2 of Spirit Week! 😂 Students dressed like teachers, teachers dressed like students, and some of these looks were a little too accurate!

This day is always a Spirit Week favorite, and today did not disappoint! We had so much fun seeing everyone get into character and bring plenty of laughs around campus. 🧡💙
