CORPSMAN UP 💪

HM2 Pliler coordinated and led an on-the-job training event with the Philippine Marine Corps 3rd Marine Brigade, delivering Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) instruction through controlled-stress scenarios.

The training enhanced medical readiness and strengthened interoperability between our Seabees and the Philippine Marine Corps by improving participants' ability to assess, treat, and evacuate casualties in simulated combat environments while reinforcing the long-standing partnership between the two forces.

During a recent site visit to Palau 🇵🇼, CAPT Frandrup, CAPT Keefe and CMC Hatcher visited Seabees assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion Eleven and Airmen with the Civic Action Team Palau 🤩

Frandrup, Keefe and Hatcher visited the Seabee warehouse, Port of Palau, and Camp Katuu to learn about the infrastructure repairs and community engagement initiatives being done in Palau.

Yesterday, we held a remembrance PT session and ceremony for CMA3 Marvin G. Shields at Camp Shields in Okinawa, Japan.

On June 10, 1965, CMA3 Marvin Glenn Shields gave his life during the Battle of D**g Xoai, Vietnam, while providing lifesaving aid to wounded personnel, returning enemy fire, and carrying ammunition under intense combat conditions.

Today, NMCB 11 proudly bears the title of the “Marvin Shields Battalion,” carrying his legacy forward through every project, deployment, and mission we undertake. His example of courage, selfless service, and unwavering commitment is woven into the identity of our battalion, serving as a daily reminder that our namesake is more than a figure in history.

His sacrifice continues to inspire every Seabee to build, fight, and serve with honor.
