On behalf of the Department I would like to thank everyone who came out last night and supported us at our fish fry. Also thank you to the Tyner IOOF for frying the fish and all of their help in the planning. Last but not least thank you to all of the wives and family members who helped out as well as the Knox FFA for their help.

Please everyone obey the NO LEFT turn signs on US 30! I’ve seen 4 almost accidents from this today alone and there was one in Marshall county. We have already had more than enough accidents in the construction zone. Also please watch for turn signals on farm equipment multiple times a week I have people pass on the left when turning left.

Today we say goodbye to the man the myth the legend. After 52 years of continuous and dedicated service firefighter Dave Aquino has decided to retire at midnight tonight. Thank you Dave it has been an honor brother. Mary thank you for letting him serve all these years. It for sure will be different without you!
