The Bucks-Mont Collaborative is a nonprofit membership organization dedicated to fostering information and resource sharing, dialogue, and collaborative action on health and human services issues in Bucks and Montgomery Counties. Join us for the next session in our two-part trauma training series - Trauma 108: Trauma and Racism - an opportunity to deepen understanding and strengthen trauma-informed practice.

Start with the virtual session exploring the subject of racism with a focus on defining basic aspects and components of racism, historic racism, and researcher bias. Then, take the next step at the in-person Applied Learning Circle, applying what you’ve learned through guided reflection, real-world scenarios, and peer dialogue.

As Mental Health Awareness Month continues, we’re reminded of the power of lived experience in building empathy, awareness, and connection.

This weekend, The Ambler Theater is screening ‘Recovery Diaries on the Big Screen,’ a powerful collection of moving stories featuring eight individuals living with mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, intrusive thoughts, and schizophrenia. After the film, there will be an in-theater Q&A with Recovery Diaries' Executive Director Gabriel Nathan, Director Glenn Holsten, and subjects from the film.
