Local Working Group Meeting Hosted by LCNRD & NRCS

The Local Working Group (LWG) meeting will be hosted by LCNRD and the NRCS TODAY, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Hartington Hotel (202 N Broadway Ave, Hartington, NE). This meeting provides an opportunity for producers, stakeholders, and partner organizations from Knox, Cedar, and Dixon counties to participate in NRCS’s conservation planning effort. Through this event, we hope to gain input on the prioritization of local resource concerns and recommendations on how federal funding can be best directed through Farm Bill Programs.

Tree care is always our highest priority during tree-planting season! On that note, we are completely out of seedlings for sale, and our tree cooler is off till next year. If you missed out or are interested in planting a windbreak or renovating one, it is never too soon to start planning!

Millions of tree seedlings are used every spring for windbreak, wildlife and conservation plantings.
