Wasatch County is part of Congressional District 3 under the new redistricting map here in Utah. Four candidates ran- David Harris (who was not there at convention), Tyler Murset, Phil Lyman and Celeste Maloy. None hit the 60% threshold required to win convention- so a runoff race was held for the top two in the first round. Below are the results of the 2nd round! As you can see this will be the race to watch! Only 18 votes difference between both candidates with neither reaching the 60% threshold to become convention winner. 🇺🇸

Here in Wasatch County, we are part of House District 59. We had three candidates Mark Allen, Jeffrey Pierce and Luke Searle - none of the candidates hit the threshold to be the convention winner - we then held a runoff race between the two top vote winners.
Neither candidate earned 60% of the vote (the percent needed to go to the general election), so Jeffrey Pierce and Luke Searle will compete in the Primary election in June. 🇺🇸

At the State Convention yesterday, great information was shared, informing us about the history of the caucus system in Utah and information related to important proposed amendments and resolutions. As a member of the board whose focus is on meaningful tax reform, this caught my eye! I read the article and wanted to thank our own Legislator Mike Kohler, for his work that is friendly to the taxpayer!
