Mark your calendars, the Friends of the Hercules Library Fall Book Sale is coming up on October 17th & 18th! All proceeds from these sales come back to support the library's programs and collections.

📖Paperback - $0.50
📚Children's Books - $0.25
💿CDs & DVDs - $0.50
*The Friends can accept only cash or check*

Sunday, October 18th | 12:00-4:00 pm
🛍️Fill a paper grocery bag for $4.
(Larger, fully packed bags will be priced based on their size. For instance, a large blue IKEA reusable bag filled to the top, which has three times the volume of a standard bag, will cost $12)

Members of the Friends of the Hercules Library can enter one hour early at 9am on Saturday for the best selection!

We had so much fun creating alebrije inspired art at the library this afternoon! Kids used brightly colored acrylic markers, pencils and gems to craft visually stunning fantastical creatures reminiscent of the papier-mâché figures created by Pedro Linares in Mexico City in the 1930s and later the carved copal-wood figures from Oaxaca Mexico.

Family Storytime is geared for a mix of ages and invites the entire family to participate in early literacy activities such as stories, songs, rhymes and movement.

Stay and play with toys and friends after Storytime ends!

Any California resident can sign up for a Contra Costa County Library card. Fill out an application at ccclib.org or visit your Hercules Library to get one today.
