🎨✨ Dot Day in Art! ✨🎨

Today in art, we finished our Dot Day projects, inspired by The Dot by Peter H. Reynolds! 🔵🎨

Everyone had so much fun seeing how their coffee filter designs mixed, blended, and transformed after they dried. The results were so colorful and unique! 🌈

We also created and organized our art portfolios for the school year. Mrs. Atkinson will use these portfolios to help create our Otero County Fair art display! 🖼️🏆 Later in the year, students will have opportunities to select artwork for other art displays.

We can’t wait to see all the creativity our amazing artists bring to this school year! 🎨💙

💙💛 A HUGE thank you to our amazing PTO for providing our students with NEW playground toys! Our Mustangs are already having so much fun playing, creating, and making memories with their new toys! 🥰 These may seem like simple additions, but they bring so much joy to our students and make recess even more special.

We are so grateful for a PTO that continually supports our students and our school in so many ways. Thank you for investing in our kids and helping make our school an even better place to learn and grow! 🐴💙

Today, our students took time to learn about and remember September 11. ❤️🤍💙

We reflected on the importance of remembering those who were affected, honoring the heroes who showed incredible courage, and learning how communities came together during a difficult time in our nation’s history.

It is important that we continue teaching our students about the significance of this day and the values of unity, courage, kindness, and remembrance. 🇺🇸
