This weekend’s somewhat soggy weather outlook means it’s a perfect time to check out some of our newest displays! Stop by the Library for books, DVDs, and new audiobooks (including some with MP3 formats) that are just up on the shelf. On Saturday, adult coloring enthusiasts can stop by the Circulation Desk to request a free pack of colored pencils! (Supplies are limited–one per patron, please.)

And speaking of Saturday, a reminder that our Saturday hours, beginning tomorrow and throughout summer, are 9am-1pm (Book Cellar hours are 10am-12:30pm).

A reminder about two programs coming up this week!

This Wednesday our monthly Art Club meets from 6-7:30pm in the upstairs Program Room. Bring your own supplies or use ours–we have watercolor paints and paper, brushes, pastels, colored pencils, graphite, pens, collage materials, and more! This program is intended for patrons of all abilities. If you are new to the Art Club, please contact us at the Reference Desk, 508-210-5569 or [email protected], to let us know you’re coming!

And on Thursday, discover the benefits of nature journaling! Please join us on May 28 at 6:30pm for “Nature Journaling,” a program presented by the DCR's Division of Water Supply Protection for Wachusett Reservoir. Learn how this practice can significantly improve your mental well-being while fostering a deeper connection with the natural world around you. This program will provide you with the tools to create your own nature journal, or bring your own to show off!

Registration for “Nature Journaling” is required. Please call the Reference Desk at 508-210-5569 or email us at [email protected] to register.
