Children Such as These

Children Such as These Welcome to my new organizational site for "Children Such as These". Thank you for your support! Jeff Pimentel
Founder

Children Such as These was born from Christ’s command to defend the least of these—rescuing, restoring, and fighting for children silenced by exploitation, trafficking, and abuse.
Our hope is that this organization will be on the forefront of bringing people to the reality of Child exploitation, will challenge people to a call-to-action, to rid this evil from our communities and to safeguard those that have been victims.

There is something fundamentally broken about a system that responds AFTER a child has already disappeared.

Children in danger do not have hours to wait.
Parents do not have time for delays.
And every minute matters.

That is what Native Brigade, and the Proud Foot Group have been building, Sentinel Guard and Adams Watch — technology designed around one mission:

Immediate response when a child is in danger!

This is not about replacing law enforcement.
This is about giving law enforcement and families the ability to act faster when seconds count.

For months I have been quiet publicly while continuing this work behind the scenes, and today I wanted to share more about the mission, the technology, and the reason this fight matters so deeply to me.

We’re Not Finished — We’ve Only Just Begun

To all of you that follow me, for the past month, I’ve been quiet on social media.
Not because the mission stopped or because the passion faded, and certainly not because the fight to protect children is over.

The truth is… life shifted quickly for me, and I needed to regroup!

I relocated from Hawaii to California for work, and during that transition I’ve also continued recovering from foot surgery in January that has taken far longer to heal than I expected.

Many of you know I had planned “The Watch Never Ends” trek — a journey that means more to me than words can explain. Postponing it was one of the hardest decisions I’ve had to make and has taken a toll on me!

But hear me clearly:
We are NOT done.
We are NOT walking away.
And we have NOT lost sight of the mission.

If anything, the time away from social media has allowed us to focus on building something even bigger behind the scenes.

Over the last several weeks, we have been working alongside The Proudfoot Group and other incredible supporters on initiatives that have the potential to fundamentally change how children are protected in this country.

Real conversations. Real strategy. Real movement.

What we are building through Sentinel Guard and Adams Watch is not about attention or headlines. It is about creating systems that can save children’s lives, improve response times, and stand in the gap when seconds matter most.

This mission has always been bigger than a trek. The trek will still happen.
The Watch Never Ends will continue. But I refuse to do it until I am fully healed and physically ready to complete it the way it deserves to be completed.

Our new target is April 2027.

Until then, we keep building, keep fighting and keep Standing the Watch.

To everyone who has supported Children Such as These, Native Brigades, Sentinel Guard, Adams Watch, and this movement as a whole — thank you! Your encouragement, prayers, and belief in this mission have carried us farther than you could ever know.

This is not the end of the story. This is the preparation for what amazing things comes next.

Retired Cop Walks Across America to Protect Children

Why?
For the families who are counting on strangers to care and to do something
Because too many children are suffering while the rest of us turn our heads.
Because pretending this problem doesn’t exist has never saved a single child.

Many are more comfortable looking away than confronting the reality of child exploitation, trafficking, and abuse.

Again...Why?
Because people are afraid! They feel helpless. They don’t want to believe it could happen in their neighborhoods. They don’t know what to do and this subject is uncomfortable to talk about.

But this cannot be the reason why our mouths are shut!
It cant believe that only one man cares enough to do something.
It cannot be that only law enforcement carries this burden while we sleep comfortably at night.
It cannot be that children suffer while the rest of us look the other way or act like nothing is happening.

Protecting children is not a job title...It is a God given responsibility!

When a child is taken, every minute matters. Every mile matters.
And every person along those routes can mean the difference between bringing a child home… or losing them forever.

On Day 10, we arrive in Richfield, Utah — Not just as another stop on the map, but a reminder that this mission moves forward because communities choose to Stand up, Speak out, and Protect their children.

Behind every mile are people who refuse to ignore the problem — Our deputies, troopers, dispatchers, first responders, and citizens who understand that readiness and coordination save lives.

We are honored to stand alongside:
Sevier County Sheriff’s Office
Utah Highway Patrol

Their partnership represents what happens when people decide to act instead of looking away.

This trek is about children, our children, your children! Children who deserve safety, protection, and adults willing to step forward — even when the subject is uncomfortable.

If you are afraid…
If you feel helpless…
If you don’t know what to do…
Start here!

Speak up!
Pay attention.
Stand Watch.
Protect the innocent.

"THE WATCH NEVER ENDS"

Tonight, before you go to sleep…you will likely check on your children.

You’ll make sure the doors are locked.
You’ll stand at their door and listen for the quiet sound of them breathing and take comfort knowing they are safe.

But tonight… somewhere in America…
another childʻs room will be empty.

A bed untouched.
A light left on.
A family waiting for a child who never came home.

During my career in law enforcement, I saw things most people will never see —
We hear things most people will never hear, and we experience what most will never experience.

Those moments never leave you!

When I retired, I realized something important:
I cant expect someone else to Keep The Watch…It never ends for us!

Beginning May 1, 2026, I will embark on 1,952-mile trek across America — from Rancho Cucamonga, California to Terre Haute, Indiana — to bring National Awareness to child exploitation, trafficking, and abuse.

I don’t expect it to be easy, but don’t children deserve someone who refuses to stop fighting for them...

If you are a parent… you already understand why this matters!

If you are a cop, you too know why it falls back on you!

If this mission speaks to you, please help carry it forward.

Share it.
Talk about it.
Stand with us.

Because protecting children should never be someone else’s responsibility…It’s OURS!

Retired Law Enforcement Officer Walks Across the Country to Raise Awareness to Child Exploitation, Trafficking and Abuse...

Retired Law Enforcement Officer Walks Across the Country to Raise Awareness to Child Exploitation, Trafficking and Abuse.

📍 St. George, Utah — Major Stop #5

For those visiting my page for the first time, my name is Jeffrey Pimentel. I’m a retired law enforcement officer, and this is my 5th Major Stop — St. George, Utah — On my trek across the country.

Beginning May 1, 2026, I will be embarking on 1,952 miles from Rancho Cucamonga, California to Terre Haute, Indiana as part of a National Awareness Mission called “The Watch Never Ends.”

As I enter this region, it is important to recognize that St. George sits within the traditional homeland of the Southern Paiute people.

Across the United States, Native children face some of the highest risks of exploitation and trafficking. Many tribal communities are in remote areas, where distance, limited resources, and jurisdictional challenges can make it harder to detect and respond to crimes against children.

Today, another growing threat exists — online exploitation.

Through social media, gaming platforms, and messaging apps, predators can reach children anywhere — even in the most remote communities.

Organizations like NOND (Not Our Native Daughters) have helped raise awareness about the disproportionate violence and exploitation affecting Indigenous women and children and the need for stronger protection and vigilance.

As I pass through St. George and Washington County, my message remains simple:
Protect our children.
Pay attention to what they experience online.
Stay vigilant.

Because when communities Stand The Watch together, predators lose the shadows they depend on.

Retired Police Officer Launches 1,952-Mile Child Protection Awareness Trek, Cross Country, on May 1

On May 1, I step off.

I am a retired police officer who has seen what most people never see…the quiet reality of child exploitation, trafficking, and abuse hiding behind normal neighborhoods, glowing phone screens, and shifting headlines.

And I am tired of watching the narrative move away from children and into silence

Too many children are being groomed online.
Too many are being trafficked along our highways.
Too many are being abused while communities convince themselves it’s happening somewhere else.

It’s not somewhere else...It’s in every community.

So instead of posting another opinion - Instead of waiting for someone else to act…

On May 1, I begin walking 1,952 miles from California to Indiana.

Through towns.
Through corridors.
Through the heart of this country.

Because if highways move commerce and families, they must also move awareness and protection.

Every mile will say the same thing:
Children deserve defenders who do more than talk.

“The Watch Never Ends”

And I refuse to leave it unguarded.

If you believe children deserve protection — not silence — Stand the Watch with this mission.

Support it by donating to our GoFundMe

Share it with friends, family, social media

Walk part of it, even for just a short distance as I come into your communities

Pray over it because prayer is what every child needs in this fight for them!

May 1.
We step off!

DAY 9 of My Trek — CEDAR CITY, UTAH

If you have not been following me…Let’s get you caught up!

A retired cop is taking to the road — on foot — to engage communities across America to raise awareness to Child Exploitation, Trafficking and Abuse, May 1, 2026

Yes!
I’m walking 1,952 miles from California to Indiana.

Why?
Because there’s too much silence on this issue!
Too many children are being exploited.
Too many being trafficked.
Too many being abused.
And far too many people pretending it’s not happening in their towns.

I’m tired of the Watch being largely unoccupied!

We need to stop thinking that protection is a slogan, because it’s not! It’s a real problem, happening with real children and in a town and intersection near you…So its a great responsibility we all share!

So instead of another speech…
Instead of another online debate…

I’m putting my feet to the pavement.

On this stop, we arrive in Cedar City, Utah.

Why Cedar City?

Because it sits along Interstate 15 — a Major Artery that connects Southern California to the interior of this country.

If we can start looking at our Highways and Interstates as opportunities, and what those "opportunities" move, we will not forget to look for clues of things happening to children and can report on them immediately!

Because this is where predators thrive and where predators move their “merchandise” …That’s right, to them it is just that, merchandise to profit from!

If corridors sustain movement, they must also sustain protection.
Protection doesn’t start in Washington and It doesn’t start with hashtags…
It starts in towns like this!

At City Hall...
With Law Enforcement.
With parents who decide they won’t stay silent.

It’s about accountability.

“The Watch Never Ends” …Because in this cop’s mind, this Post cannot remain empty, but needs to be manned, every second, every minute, of every day!

Stand with me…Share this message
