making sure our community has clear and reliable information and our members have access to the care they need. HMSA Centers and offices are open with new health and safety modifications in place. To minimize the risk of spreading COVID-19, we ask visitors to follow these guidelines. Please do not enter the center or office if you:
• Can’t wear a mask for medical reasons. Instead, please call us and we’ll be happy to help you.
• Have traveled in the last 14 days.
• Have been in contact with someone who’s being tested for COVID-19 or has been diagnosed or treated.
• Have a cold or flu-like symptoms, such as a fever, shortness of breath, runny nose, or sore throat. If you’re unable to visit us in person, you can log in to My Account on hmsa.com or call us for customer service. With My Account, you can request a duplicate HMSA membership card, see your claims and health plan details, and access HMSA’s Online Care. While in the center or office, please follow these guidelines:
• Wear a mask at all times. If there’s a medical reason you can’t wear a mask, please call us instead.
• Maintain a distance of six feet from other people.
• Use the hand sanitizer station.
• Be considerate of the health and safety modifications. In addition, we kindly ask that you do not bring extra companions with you unless you need their help. Please note that magazines and handouts aren’t available at this time. Please visit hmsa.com or islandscene.com to search for these resources.
