✈️ Flight Report from the Jets!

Nothing says "cleared for takeoff" like empanadas, fried cheese drizzled in that sweet, sticky sauce, and a room full of Herod families yelling "BINGO!" 🧀🥟🎉

A huge THANK YOU to Café Piquet for hosting our Bingo Fundraiser and keeping our tray tables full! 🙌 And thank you to every family, friend, and staff member who came out to play, eat, and support our Jets. Some of us left with prizes... all of us left needing a late evening nap. 😅

We may not have won every round, but with this community, we always SOAR! 💙🧡

✈️💙🧡 **Friday Night Flight: First Class Fall Dance** 🧡💙✈️

Attention passengers: the seatbelt sign is officially OFF! 🛫

Tonight our Jets boarded Friday Night Flight for a First Class Fall Dance, and let's just say we hit some serious *dance floor turbulence* (the good kind). 🕺💃 Some moves were smooth, some were bold, and a few parents may need to file a report with the FAA. 😂

No baggage fees, no delays, just smiles, friends, and memories made at 30,000 feet of fun! Thank you to our amazing families for flying with us, and a huge shout-out to our staff and volunteers, the best flight crew in the business. 🙌

🚨 BREAKING NEWS 🚨 Herod Elementary has been secretly run by a highly trained crew of elite professionals… and some of them are still losing their teeth. 😂

Meet our JET PATROL! ✈️ These student leaders show up for arrival and dismissal with more dedication than most of us bring to our morning coffee ☕. Car doors? Opened. Hallways? Handled. Good mornings? Delivered with a smile! 😁
We had to throw them a party, because legends deserve snacks. 🎉🍕

We've got spirit! YES WE DO! We enjoyed hanging out and supporting fundraising efforts and some yummy tenders at our first spirit night of the season! We are looking forward to seeing everyone again (and hopefully some new faces) at tonight's movie night!

🎉 Congratulations to our official 2026 Teacher of the Year, Ms. Marcella Melancon Corbins! 🎉

Ms. Mellancon brings joy, patience, and heart into her Kindergarten classroom every single day, helping our littlest Jets fall in love with learning from day one. 💙🧡

Her dedication to her students and our Herod family does not go unnoticed- we are so proud to celebrate her and cannot wait to officially celebrate her at our district's annual Educator of the Year banquet soon!
