It’s that time of year again. Don't forget to recycle any unwanted string lights by donating them to your favorite charity. DO NOT place them in your green carts as they damage the cities processing and recycling equipment.

Thank you for deleting my post. In fact, per the post below, the issues actually started on 12/11 And ARE STILL NOT RESOLVED. WHAT IS THE STATUS? WHY IS THE COH POINT PERSON FOR PD OFF UNTIL 1/4/2021/. TEN DAYS AND ISSUES PERSIST.
Since the repair issues on 12/14 PD has not worked consistently. Today has been a complete loss. It appears now the PD is shut down. Please advise ASAP

Houston permitting center discriminates their citizens and refuse to accommodate people with disabilities. After multiple attempts to ask for assistance on permits and communication via emails. They repeatedly ignore their citizens and just reject permit plans without even assisting citizens to ensure understanding. We attempted to work with Bill pirooz, Melanie chow, and Luke fry with no success repeatedly and yet they just continue to ignore emails asking for clarity. Houston Mayor's Office for People with Disabilities should look into training city staff to be more accommodating to disabled citizens using online methods to better communicate. Thank you.

Melanie Chow needs to be Employee of the Year! She is able to effectively perform her duties while still showing humanity and compassion for those trying to navigate the system. We appreciate you, Melanie!
1. Why does no one pick up customer service line? 2. Why does customer service line even have a voice mail? Shouldn't there be someone there during regular business hours? 3. Why is it so hard to get transferred to the right department and have the person in that department answer the phone?
Please fix down load problem on your dox portal fast. I need to download my plans quick
Wow...your FB page is asking me, how could Houston Permitting center improve. The building staff should be patrolled by Jesus and his team of believers. These people have NO emotions, concerns for your urgencies, or respect . They sit in their comfy seats and disrespect every one that walks in. Please do not go there on a Monday or you will start hateing your own city. There is No manager on top of these folks and if you ask for one, you will be sitting there all day. I am planning to contact the Mayor, a couple of news channels and my States respective for what they did to me. This department is a joke. Staff is very very very prejudice. They treat you like crap if you are not the same race as the person infront of you. They sent me to department to department for the stuff I did not even need. Issued me the wrong project number, Tossed my file around to 6 departments for no r reason....For things I did not need. A woman On the first floor, ( occupancy department) I will not mention her name here pointed her finger right into my face and said" look I will not repeat myself you have to go to the second floor" from second floor to first and to third and to 5 different desks that's what my wife and I did the first day. One piece of work in the planning and development department did not even make eye contact. No smile, no hi, not even a single word of respect. He was an oriental, supposedly engineer. I tried to make conversation with him but he totally ignored me. A few days later I saw him with big smiles because he was talking to an oriental couple just like him, same race of course....I did meet two very friendly and courteous ladies but could not help me because someone before them ruined my paperwork. I really wish that Marvin Zindler was still alive. May God help our city and put believers in high ranking positions at the permitting department- Amen
1) answer the phone 2) actually get a call back. 3) more user friendly for licensed contractors.
What is the Permitting Center's plan for refunding residential permit fees charged since May 21? State Law prohibits charging permit fees determined by valuation.
Is there any limited service today?
