YUCK. Please don't drink from a plastic water bottle that has been left in a hot car! 🥵 🚗💧
We are under a heat advisory and that can cause a lot of problems, including:
💧An increase of chemical leaching from plastic bottles into the water.
💧Cause the bottle to shed microplastics.
💧Promote bacterial growth if the bottle has already been opened or used.

While it's definitely important to stay hydrated, you also need to stay safe.
Bring a fresh bottle of water each day, store reusable bottles away from the heat, and replace any water that has been sitting in a hot car for several hours.

Houston TranStar was proud to partner with the Harris County Office of Homeland Security & Emergency Management ReadyHarris for this year's EM Impact TX program, empowering the next generation of women in emergency management.

Over two days, participants explored careers in disaster and emergency response through a behind-the-scenes tour of Houston TranStar, connected with professionals at the Opportunity Fair, and built valuable leadership skills through interactive sessions.

Our Chief Communications Officer, Angelique Myers, led an engaging communications workshop where everyone learned the importance of confidence through "power posing" before developing and delivering their own 60-second pitch. Attendees also gained hands-on lifesaving skills during an interactive Stop the Bleed workshop, heard from industry leaders through insightful panel discussions and keynote speakers.
