Today we commemorated YEARS of work and community engagement in Fourth Ward Freedmen’s Town.

Mt. Horeb MBC has provided land they have safeguarded for generations to create a community space for youth, seniors, and all to come together.

So many thank you’s including Freedmen’s Town Conservancy, Contemporary Arts Museum Houston Kinder Foundation and so many others!

The people of Houston and Harris County deserve nothing less from their leaders than giving it everything they have, every single day. This privilege to make a difference I do not take lightly. My time at City Hall has meant everything to me.

This is the most incredible council district anyone could have the privilege to represent. It’s a precious responsibility that has been the honor of my life thus far. Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to serve and work with you.

We’re just a few weeks away from 🌈

Our team has been working closely with neighborhood leaders Neartown/Montrose and Pride Houston 365 in Montrose to revive the Banner District.

Greg Abbott can try to come for our crosswalks, but he can never take what truly matters, our and respect for our + community and the beauty of our diversity.

Let’s lift up the history of ’s historic Montrose together.
