Last week, I talked with Dan Ball on One America News Network to discuss our office's work in securing a landmark settlement with Meta. Indiana is poised to receive up to $400 million. But this settlement is not just about money. There is also strong injunctive relief for parents. While it is parents' ultimate responsibility to raise their kids, that does not mean we have to put up with predatory practices by Facebook and Instagram.

Our team had a blast at the Indians game earlier this week getting to watch some baseball and talking to Hoosiers about unclaimed property. Even our office mascot, the honey badger, showed up!

We are on pace this year to set a new record for money returned to rightful owners — over $80 million. Check here to see what might be waiting for you: https://www.indianaunclaimed.gov/

I’m for an all-of-the-above energy policy: Keep these coal units operational for years to come, bring the planned natural gas plant online and pursue nuclear generation. Rockport can become a true energy hub for Indiana and the nation. But it all starts with saving the coal units, and that is exactly what our office is fighting to do.

Nice to meet Lexie Hull at the Indianapolis Indians game the other day, then watch her and the Indiana Fever get the win last night! Good luck to you and the entire team for the rest of this season and into the playoffs!

Great win, Indiana Fever!

My friend and superstar Riley Gaines is joining me tonight at the Indiana Fever game to support Sophie Cunningham and the whole team.

Sophie said what never should have been controversial: Girls shouldn’t have to compete against biological males, and they shouldn’t have to share locker rooms or other private spaces with them.

That’s common sense, and I’m grateful to have them both as allies in the fight to protect female athletes.

Since the storms first hit our state, I’ve been on the ground with the families who took the worst of it. In just the last two weeks, my team and I have been to more than 40 communities across Indiana—I’ve personally visited over 20. Together we’ve driven more than 10,000 miles and knocked on more than 700 doors to see the devastation firsthand and put critical scam-prevention resources directly into homeowners’ hands.

I’ve walked into living rooms, garages, and basements—some with floors completely gutted. I’ve given hugs when that’s what people needed most. And I’ve made sure every family we met left with the same advice: Don’t leave your Hoosier common sense at the door when a contractor comes knocking.

• Be skeptical of anyone offering immediate cleanup or repairs without being vetted.

• Check licenses, bonding, and insurance.

• Look them up with the Better Business Bureau and get more than one written estimate.

• Insist on a written contract with start and completion dates.

• Never pay the full amount up front.

• Pay with a credit card. If the contractor takes your money and disappears, a credit card gives you a chance to dispute the charge. Cash, checks, wires, gift cards, and crypto usually don’t.

• FEMA does not charge application fees.

• Anyone promising to “cover your deductible” or claiming FEMA will pay for everything is waving a red flag.

Some are calling it the greatest first pitch they’ve ever seen — a late-dropping curve that would’ve frozen any hitter for a strike. Honored to kick off AG Night at Victory Field. Go Indianapolis Indians!!
