I'm proud to have supported efforts that secured funding to launch a quality-of-life planning process for the Near Northwest Side. This work is about listening to residents, building on community strengths, and creating a roadmap for a stronger future.

Words matter. Leadership matters.

Comments that divide people based on their religion do not reflect the values of Indianapolis or the kind of community we should be building together.

Our city is strongest when people of different backgrounds, beliefs, and experiences feel they belong.

Indianapolis is strongest when everyone has the opportunity to belong, contribute, and thrive.

This month and every month, let's continue building a city where people can live authentically, support one another, and feel at home in their community.

Today, we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.

Indianapolis carries a deep legacy of honoring those sacrifices, with memorials and monuments across our city reminding us of the courage, service, and commitment of generations who answered the call.

As we gather with family and friends this Memorial Day, may we also take a moment to reflect on the freedoms we enjoy because of those who gave everything in defense of them.
