Female - Micro Bully Mix - Brown and white. Weighs about 30-45 pounds. Approximately 8 months to 1 years old. Was brought in on 08/30/26. Will be up for adoption 08/03/26. She is friendly. Good with other dogs. Sadly her owner passed away today and she needs companionship.

Found abandoned in a tote off of Isabelle and Cherry.

🚨UPDATE: AUGUST 24 STABBING🚨

The Inkster Police Department is providing an update regarding the August 24 stabbing that occurred around 3:15 p.m. at the Dollar Tree near Cherry Hill Road and Inkster Road.

Officers located a 63-year-old female victim, identified as Phyllis Robinson, suffering from serious injuries. She remains in critical condition at a local hospital. Our thoughts remain with Ms. Robinson and her family.

Officers took 22-year-old Inkster resident Stephen Ross into custody. Ross has been formally charged with:

• Assault with Intent to Murder
• Assault with Intent to Do Great Bodily Harm Less Than Murder
• Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Felonious Assault)

Ross is scheduled to be arraigned tomorrow.

The Inkster Police Department remains committed to a thorough investigation and respecting the judicial process.

NEWS RELEASE | STABBING INCIDENT AT INKSTER DOLLAR TREE

INKSTER, MI — August 24, 2026 — The Inkster Police Department is investigating a stabbing that occurred at approximately 3:15 p.m. today inside the Dollar Tree located near Cherry Hill Road and Inkster Road.

According to preliminary information, a 62--old female was inside the store shopping when she was approached and attacked by a 22-year-old male suspect. Witnesses reported that the assault appeared to be unprovoked. The suspect allegedly retrieved a knife from merchandise inside the store and stabbed the victim multiple times.

Inkster Police officers responded to the scene and apprehended the suspect. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment and is currently listed in critical condition.

This incident is a disturbing act of violence, and we want our residents to know that violence of this nature will not be tolerated in the City of Inkster. Every person should be able to shop, work, and live in our community without fear of becoming the victim of a random act of violence.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the victim and her family as she receives medical treatment. We also commend the responding officers and those who assisted at the scene.

This remains an active investigation. Additional information will be released as it becomes available and as appropriate.
