September is Su***de Prevention Month, and one of the most effective ways of lowering instances of self-harm is by being present and reminding people that they are not alone.

Life happens, and we all get busy, but sometimes sending that quick text to check in with someone, let them know you're thinking of them, or even just a note cheering them on can make all the difference.

One of the most effective ways abusers gain control of survivors is by cutting off everyone else in their lives. Making an effort to stay in touch, even if it is just a casual check in, could save a life.

If you'd like to take more action to support survivors in our community, consider joining our Circle of Hope. More info linked in our bio!

We're CASA, and we loved this older trend so thought a throwback repost was in order!

Of course we're here for you and our community, our services are free, we understand what you're going through, we're going to treat you like a respected human being and adult, and if that means we're known as "The Hippie Chicks" we're here for it.

Be sure to check out our "Circle of Hope" support options to help keep our work going for the community!

Sometimes it can feel like the world is spinning out of control and it can seem really overwhelming to try to do anything that will actually make a difference.

When it comes to supporting survivors of domestic violence here in Citrus County, it is actually easier than ever to support!

We recently launched our new Circle of Hope program, where you can support our work with monthly donations, starting at $10/month.

Community coming together is how we evoke change, and we're so thankful for everyone who contributes to our important mission in working to end domestic violence here in Citrus County.

On this day in 1920, the 19th Amendment to the US Constitution which guaranteed voting rights for all citizens regardless of if they were male or female.

While some local elections have been completed here in Citrus County, there are more elections upcoming in November, and all eligible voters have the right to have their voice heard at the polls.

Even if you're married, you still have the right to your own vote and to make your own choice as to who you want to vote for on election day. Your spouse can not force you to vote for someone, or prevent you from voting.

If you or someone you know are being blocked from exercising your voting rights by a domestic partner, reach out to us for help.
