It might seem like a fun internet trend, but every time you share personal information online, you're making it easier to get into your bank accounts, your personal life, and even find out things like where you live or where you will be during the day.
Those little AI graphics where you fill out info and have it make a "fun" picture of you gives hackers more than enough information to get into your life.
Your kid is an honor student at XYZ school? You just told the world what school your kids go to, and now someone can find your schedule, their schedule, know what days they will be home and when they will be waiting for the bus.
Your first pet was Fido? That's a common security question for getting into a locked account.
Especially with how much more information is unavoidable online, you don't have to become an easy target by adding to the pile.
There is the story on Facebook about the woman who was at the grocery store and saw a cute guy in line in front of her, so she checked out his name when he pulled out his credit card, found him on Facebook, found his mom, found his mom was in a book club, joined his mom's book club, became friends with his mom, and got her to set them up on a date... all because she saw his name on his credit card at the grocery store.
That might be a romantic story at their wedding if it works out, but that's how easy it is to connect with people now.
