Social District who?! 😍

Road Closure on Court Street for Oktoberfest celebration:

The Oktoberfest Social District will be in effect Friday, September 25 between 4pm-9pm and on Saturday, September 26 between 11am-9pm (see map image) If you are driving downtown please note that Court Street between Railroad St and Old Bridge St will be closed to traffic.

For those enjoying the Oktoberfest celebration, here are a few tips:
1. Alcoholic Beverages may be consumed only within the social district layout and in approved Social District cups only
2. All businesses within the social district will have signage clearly displayed on if they are a participating business for the consumption of alcohol within their business.
3. Please be respectful of the City and the downtown businesses by properly disposing of alcoholic beverages and please drink responsibly.

If fall had a destination in Onslow County, it might just be Mike's Farm. 🍂🎃

What began as a small family farm has grown into one of our area's favorite traditions, while still holding onto the warm, family atmosphere at the heart of its story. From the famous family-style country cooking and homemade treats in the bakery to the gift shops, farm animals, seasonal events and hayrides, a trip to Mike's Farm is about so much more than making one stop.

And peak Mike's Farm season is just getting started!

This Saturday, September 26, the farm kicks off its fall season with the Annual Antique Tractor Show and the first pumpkin patch hayrides of the year.

Then October brings pumpkin picking, hayrides, free live music on Fridays and Saturdays, magic shows on Saturdays, and plenty of opportunities to grab some country cooking and make a full day of it.

And, of course, fall is only the beginning. Before we know it, the farm will transform for its beloved Festival of Lights, running November 12 through December 23 with an encore December 26–27.

Whether you're visiting Jacksonville for the weekend, showing family around, or looking for a fall tradition close to home, Mike's Farm is worth the drive. Come hungry, pick a pumpkin, browse the NC Products Barn, grab something sweet from the bakery, and enjoy a little time on the farm. 🍁

Veterans Tribute NC returns November 1–11!

For 11 days, Jacksonville will come together to honor the men and women who have served our country with events, ceremonies, cultural experiences, live entertainment, and opportunities to explore the military heritage that is such an important part of our community.

From the Veterans Walk of Honor and Lejeune Memorial Gardens to Red, White & Salute, the Onslow Veterans Pow Wow, Veterans Day Parade, Carolina Museum of the Marine, and more, there are plenty of ways to take part.

Whether you're joining us for one event or planning a weekend in Jacksonville, we invite you to experience Veterans Tribute NC and help us honor those who have served.
