Do you love and appreciate nature and wildlife? Hammocks Beach State Park and Bear Island, home to a large number migratory birds and other wildlife, is the place to see it.
Federally protected areas are noted with signage to keep human visitors at a distance, so that “residents” like these loggerhead turtles and several species of green turtles can continue to nest, grow and flourish. #SpeciesSaving #OnlyInOnslow
Currently It's hatchling season on Bear Island . State Park Staff have been on turtle watch duty and happened to catch these guys headed out for their first swim
