Donation Update
Stutsman County Dive Team (ROV) Remote Underwater Operated Vehicle Fund Drive

(Goal is to raise $150,000) to replace our aging ROV

Stutsman County Dive Team is a joint team of the Jamestown Police Department, Stutsman County Sheriff’s Office, and Jamestown Fire Department. This team responds to all types of water/ice incidents within Stutsman County, out of county, and there have been times that part of the team has responded out of state to assist other agencies.

What is a Remote Operated Vehicle? ROV’s are designed to operate underwater, allowing for exploration and tasks in environments that are often too dangerous or inaccessible for human divers. They are controlled from the surface via a tether that transmits power and data, ensuring reliable operation even at great depths. ROV’s are equipped with cameras, lights, sonar, and various tools to perform task such as underwater inspections, search, and recovery operations, helping locate and recover objects or individuals from underwater environments.

Hook, Line, and... Fire? 🎣🔥

Let’s be honest: there is nothing more "North Dakota" than sitting on a bucket in the middle of a frozen lake freezing your jigs off.

The Jamestown Rural Fire Department Ice Fishing Tournament is back! It’s the only event where you can pray for a "heater" in two different ways.

Whether you’re a pro angler or someone who just showed up for the snacks and the chance to wear five layers of wool, we want you out there.

Why you should show up:

* Support our Local Heroes: These folks run toward the flames so we can keep running toward the tip-ups.

* Bragging Rights: Catch the big one and dine out on that story until July.

* Safety First: If you accidentally set your ice shanty on fire with a rogue propane heater, the experts are already on the scene. (Please don't actually do this.)
