James River Valley Library The James River Valley Library System consists of two branches The Alfred Dickey Library and the Stutsman County Library, both located in Jamestown, ND.

We are a public library system that offers services to those who live in Stutsman county, ND. We have a variety of services and programs we offer to our patrons, including programs for adults, teens, and children. Some of the programs we offer are summer reading programs, storytime, crafts, movie nights, game nights, book clubs, and so much more! We also offer many services such as genealogy resou

rces, free access to online databases such as Ancestry.com, Overdrive/Libby, hoopla, and many more! We invite you to come check out what the library has to offer you!

The JRVLS children's summer reading program starts today! Pick up a June reading log at Alfred Dickey Library, Stutsman County Library, or the Bookmobile. Visit the library all summer long to check out books, hang out with friends, or attend our programs and events.

Step into a world of magic, mischief, and medieval mayhem!

Test your skills in our medieval arcade with ring toss, axe throwing, Queen’s Challenge, and the ridiculous Jester Pants Game. Race to the finish line in the dragon egg race, show off your finest attire in the costume contest, and strike a pose at the photo booth.

Trade trinkets, barter books, quench your thirst at the potion bar, and create your own fairy wish craft. Adventurers can seek out the side quest for extra fun, loot, and bragging rights. Solve the word puzzle to earn the story of Sir Alfred and his library.

Along the way, earn tickets to spend at our prize table and enter drawings for even more treasures!

Adventure awaits you this Saturday, May 30, 1-3 pm at The Lodge (across the street from Alfred Dickey Library)!
