The Stateline Manufacturing Alliance (SMA) Manufacturing Signing Day event was a huge success! SMA recognized 33 high school students who will be moving forward into a Manufacturing career pathway either from bridging from Youth Apprenticeship to Register Apprenticeship, attending training and/or schooling, or into full-time employment opportunities! The companies that recognized this future workforce were Frito Lay, Hexpol, Jones Dairy Farm, Kuhn North America, Inc., Pieper Electric, Inc., Prent Corporation, Scot Forge, Stoughton Trailers, The Caldwell Group, Inc., The Morse Group, and United Alloy.
Congratulations to the 8 Youth Apprenticeship students from the Rock & Green County Youth Apprenticeship Consortium that were recognized: Marcus De La Cruz (Beloit Memorial High School), Lane Visger (Brodhead High School), Ryan Thomas (Turner High School), Alex Slown (Beloit Memorial High School), Jacob Popp (Beloit Memorial High School), Miguel Aguilar (Beloit Memorial High School), Colin Mortimer (Craig High School), Madex Norman (Parker High School), and Jadon Upham (Parker High School)!

The Rock & Green County Youth Apprenticeship Consortium celebrated National Apprenticeship Week by hosting the Rock County Youth Apprenticeship Job Fair on April 28th, 2026, at the Rock County Job Center. It was a successful event with 20 businesses that attended looking to hire students for their Youth Apprenticeship Programs. We had a total of 135 students attend from 10 schools: Beloit Memorial High School, Beloit Turner High School, Parker High School, Craig High School, Rock River Charter School, Rock University High School, ARISE Virtual Academy, Rock County Christian School, Parkview High School, and Evansville High School. Thank you to all the businesses, students, and teachers that attended to make this event so great!
