Thanks to the hard work of our instructors and students, BTC EMS achieved another 100% success rate on the Out-of-Hospital Scenario (OOHS) skills test administered on 05/30/26.

Way to go, Students!!!

Our Paramedic Students went back to the Sim Lab on Monday to begin working on Cardiac Emergencies. We trained on a drug that causes Paramedics a little bit of worry, adenosine. This drug, when administered, can cause a brief "flatline." During that time, Paramedics hope that the heart restarts.

Last October, we said some moments in the sim lab are bittersweet. Today was one of those days. The Paramedics worked with our Sim lab experts one last time. Kristy and Ashley are both leaving the Sim lab. Blackhawk Fire and EMS says goodbye and good luck as you both proceed into your next endeavors. You both kept Sim Lab a fun learning environment. Please help us wish Kristy and Ashley a fond farewell.
