The Janesville Fire Department would like to reflect back on National Night Out and thank everyone for showing up and showing out!!

💦 Sprinklers are IMPORTANT and we want to take a moment to thank the National Fire Sprinkler Association and Paul Davis for helping bring the burn demonstration to Janesville.

If you are wanting to build a house or thinking about opening a business here in town, remember that working sprinklers increase the chance of surviving a fire incident by 90%.

The Janesville Fire Department is proud to continue raising awareness about the importance of bystander Hands-Only CPR and the use of public access AEDs.
With the announcement of the new SAVE STATIONS in the downtown area, we want to extend a huge thank you to Blain's Farm & Fleet for their generous donation that made the purchase of the AEDs in these stations possible, and the BID Downtown Janesville for the purchase of the SAVE STATIONS.
We truly appreciate the strong partnership with the BID Downtown Janesville and Blain's Farm & Fleet. Working together helps make our community safer and better prepared in emergencies. We look forward to continuing the efforts of making Janesville a Heart Healthy Community.

🚨 Exciting News for Downtown Janesville! 🚨

We're proud to announce that SaveStation AED cabinets have been installed in key areas throughout our downtown, providing community members and visitors with 24/7 access to lifesaving equipment.
These highly visible, climate-controlled cabinets are designed to support rapid response during cardiac emergencies—because every second counts. If you haven't already, consider downloading the PulsePoint Respond app, which connects CPR-trained individuals to nearby emergencies and indicates AED locations in real-time.
We're grateful for the donations from the BID Downtown Janesville Business Improvement District of Downtown Janesville, which helped make this important safety enhancement possible.

The three AED cabinets are clearly marked and located at the following downtown locations:
📍Directly to the left of the Marvin Roth Pavilion stage
📍Directly to the right of the Town Square Pavilion in Janesville Town Square
📍Next to the sidewalk in front of 18 N. Main St. near Looking Glass

🚒 The Janesville Fire Department would like to inform and/or remind everyone that the air quality within our area is very unhealthy.

Smoke from Canadian wildfires may reduce air quality and create haze or the smell of smoke in our area, so if you think you see a fire, please take a moment to verify the source before calling 911. If you see flames, a growing smoke column, or believe there is an actual emergency, call 911 immediately so we can respond quickly and keep our community safe.

🇺🇸The Janesville Fire Department would like to remind everyone to please be safe and responsible with fireworks this 4th of July holiday season.

🇺🇸Below are several safety tips when dealing with fireworks. We want everyone to be safe and please don’t put the safety of your neighbors in jeopardy by launching fireworks.
