Some beautiful summer blossoms have been blooming in the sunshine! ☀️ Primula florindae is the star of the garden, along with Astrantia, geraniums, and Peonies. We are open this weekend on Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.! 🌸

Registration for Art in the Garden at the Jensen-Olson Arboretum opens next week! This event offers children the opportunity to fuel their creativity in an art lesson with Kelsey Hoke while enjoying the scenery of the garden. 🌿

Art in the Garden 🎨
• Registration opens Tuesday, August 4, at noon
• For ages 6-12
• $10 plus tax

There are only 25 spots available, and registration is required at bit.ly/registerCBJparks. Hosted by the Jensen-Olson Arboretum in partnership with Friends of Jensen-Olson Arboretum.

This week, we are celebrating the arboretum's 19th year as a public garden! 🌿

The arboretum has grown and matured over the years as plant collections have grown and changed, and various improvements have helped welcome more visitors. We are happy to celebrate Caroline Jensen’s gift to the City of Juneau!

In the summer, we are open Wednesday through Sunday, from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. The arboretum also makes a lovely setting for wedding ceremonies; contact us for more information! 💐

Many beautiful flowers are blooming at the arboretum. Come enjoy the nice weather while it lasts and check these out! 🪻

• Primula florindae blooming in many shades from yellow to orange, and fragrant too!
• Geranium ‘Dark Reiter’ with stunning dark foliage
• Dwarf purple campanula
• Irises are still blooming, from whites to purples to yellows!

Last Saturday, visitors at the Jensen-Olson Arboretum enjoyed a piano recital by Jon Hays underneath a gorgeous blue sky. Thank you, Jon, for sharing your talent and musical knowledge with us! 🎹🌷
