Our Cover Crop project on week 2.

Even with all of the heavy rain, good soil prevails and we have good germination rates. Got just enough sun after planting in late June.

Have questions about how to manage your soils in our interesting weather? Reach out! We are here to help.

Spotted in a cluster on a field day a few weeks back.

Invasive? Native?

Always fun to test what we know and learn more.

❗❗ We are making lemonade out of lemons. With this winter's significant snowfall, things have not melted enough for our Kid's Kenai River Clean-Up...so instead we'll be sponsoring a 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐂𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐧-𝐔𝐩!

❗❗ Please see the flyer below for details. All who participate will be entered into a drawing for some 𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭 𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐳𝐞𝐬. The Kenai River is a vital resource and we look forward to working with the community to help keep it beautiful and healthy!

🙏 Thank you to all the teachers who had planned to take their students to the river to pick up trash and learn about conservation. We look forward to working with you next year!

🥾🌼Out with the old and in with the new!

Celebrate Alaska Native Plant Awareness Month by reconsidering the non-native plants you have in your garden: 1) Make sure they are non-invasive; and 2) consider a native alternative.
