Would you like a sage that is soft to the touch? Fringed Sage is the plant for you! No, this is not the sage you season things with. However, it has been used as a medicine and even a bug repellent.

In the garden, this plant can be used as a ground cover along paths or can be paired with plants that have dark green foliage and/or bright colors to play with contrasts. It brings a gentleness to the garden with its foliage that is covered with silky hairs giving it a silvery-white appearance.

What a transformation a Heritage Garden can bring. This garden was planted fall of 2025 and is already bringing in birds, bees, and butterflies. The best part? The water bill has dropped SIGNIFICANTLY.

The Threadleaf Daisy may look small. But it is mighty. Planting next to bunch grasses adds a little whimsy to the space. Flowers colors can range from blue to white and even pink. These blooms are worth looking down for.

A favorite of our Heritage Gardeners, Oregon sunshine is a compact, short lived perennial. However, the long bloom time will leave you with color through most of the summer. The foliage below those bright yellow flowers is a soft grey green due to a covering of white wooly hairs. This plant also brings some butterflies to the garden. Butterflies that visit this plant include the orange sulfur, red admiral, comma, and skipper.
