"41% of child trafficking situations are facilitated by a family member or relative. Another 14% of cases are facilitated by an intimate partner and 11% by friends"

Terri Markham, executive director of the statewide anti-trafficking organization Uprising, said familial trafficking is difficult to catch. It's also the most common type of trafficking she hears about, and one of her biggest concerns for Wyoming communities.

You will notice some changes when you call our non-emergent number 307-721-2526.

We have instituted a phone tree to better serve you. Our dispatchers were getting inundated with spam calls which was impacting their ability to serve you, they were often having to place your calls on hold to determine if the other call was an emergency and delaying getting to your call.

Thank you for patiently accepting the phone tree!

Thieves tend to take the easy route! Almost all vehicles in auto theft and burglary cases we receive were unlocked! The steps below can make your car much less enticing.

We have recently seen an increase in vehicle thefts over the last few weeks.

Here are a few reminders:

Always lock your vehicle, even when parked at home or for a short time.

Close all windows and sunroofs completely.

Never leave keys, key fobs, or valuables inside the vehicle.

Park in well-lit, visible areas whenever possible.

Report suspicious activity to Dispatch immediately. (307)721-2526.

A locked vehicle is a safer vehicle. Take a moment to secure it and prevent theft before it occurs.

If you live with your partner and begin to notice some red flags or experience abuse, it’s a good idea to think about if you have to be prepared to leave and what you might need.

One way to do this is to keep a “go bag” ready and waiting. This way, in case of an emergency situation, you are able to leave immediately with all the essentials.
