On this joint project, thank you to the many volunteers from the German Jefferson Sportsmens Club, staff from Minnesota DNR, Le Sueur County Highway Department and Le Sueur County Parks.

The first fish was caught within seconds of it being finished!

Visit Ney Nature Center for pollinator week!

šŸ›šŸ¦‹ It’s Pollinator Week at Ney Nature Center! 🌼

This little monarch caterpillar may look small, but it’s part of an incredible story of migration, transformation, and connection. Monarchs depend on milkweed—not just as a food source, but as the only plant where they lay their eggs and raise the next generation.

Scenes like this, with a monarch caterpillar on milkweed and our red barn in the background, remind us how important healthy habitat is for pollinators right here in our community.

During Pollinator Week, take a moment to notice the bees, butterflies, moths, beetles, and other pollinators working all around us—and consider planting native flowers or milkweed to support them.

Every garden, prairie patch, and wild corner helps. 🌿🧔
