Our nonprofit partners know their organizations and communities best. Unrestricted funding gives them the flexibility to invest resources where they can make the greatest impact.

CFBC’s Unrestricted Grant Cycle is now accepting applications, with grants of up to $10,000 available to support the unrestricted needs of nonprofit organizations.

Whether that means strengthening operations, building capacity, or responding to new opportunities, these funds can be used where they will best support an organization’s work.

Applications are open through September 9 at 11:59 p.m.

Last night, the CFBC Board of Directors gathered for our August meeting, with plenty of conversation and collaboration continuing even after we adjourned.

We’re grateful for our Board members who give their time and perspective to CFBC and our community.

A special thank you to The Cabin Counseling & Resource Center, Inc. for hosting us! We appreciate the opportunity to hold our Board meetings at local nonprofits and learn more about the organizations serving Boone County.

Today we wrapped up the Nonprofit Network Summer Board Series, presented by Hedges, with our final session: "Fundraising Essentials for Board Members."

It was a great morning of connection. Nonprofit leaders and their boards gathered to network before Hedges opened the session with practical, board-focused fundraising strategies.

A little friendly competition, and some very serious co****le scoring! 🎯

The CFBC team had a great time volunteering at today’s BCSSI-Boone County Senior Services, Inc. Olympics, helping keep score during some closely contested co****le games.

We’re always grateful for opportunities to step outside the office, spend time with our community partners, and be part of the programs that bring Boone County together. Thanks to BCSSI for letting us join in the fun!

This morning, nonprofit leaders from across Boone County gathered at Harmony IN Horses for the latest Boone County Nonprofit Network Coffee Chat, a monthly series that brings organizations together to share opportunities, navigate challenges, and strengthen the collaborative fabric of our community.

These conversations matter. When nonprofit leaders sit down together, connections are made, ideas are shared, and the work of building a stronger Boone County moves forward.

Yesterday, CFBC awarded programming grants to 26 local nonprofit organizations at our annual Programming Grantee Open House. These funds support the programs and services that help our neighbors learn, grow, connect, and thrive.

Our hearts are with the communities across Indiana facing devastating flooding right now.

While Boone County has largely been spared, we know that our neighbors are not okay - and that matters to us deeply.

If you want to help, the most effective place to start is with the local community foundations serving those affected areas. They know their communities best, they understand where the need is greatest, and they are already at work connecting resources to the people who need them most.
