Loudoun County Unveiling Ceremony for the Lafayette Trail Marker
#Loudoun County has honored the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution with the unveiling of a historic marker commemorating the Marquis de Lafayette’s visit to Leesburg in August 1825. On June 22, 2024, members of the Board of Supervisors, Leesburg Mayor Kelly Burk and Leesburg Town Council members joined representatives of the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Consulate General of France in Washington, and The Lafayette Trail, Inc., to unveil the marker on the courthouse grounds.
