Another Busy Morning for Our Volunteers

🔥This morning and afternoon kept our volunteers busy with responses to a structure fire and an overheated smoker at a local restaurant. We are thankful for the dedicated men and women who continue to answer the call and serve our community whenever needed.

Their commitment, training, and willingness to help others make a difference every day. We appreciate all of our volunteers who sacrifice their time to help keep Henderson County safe.

Thank you for all you do!

🚒 Another busy weekend 🔥 for our volunteers. Interstate 40 has been especially hectic lately, but our members continue to show up and put in the work to help those in need.

There is a lot more to the fire service than just fighting fires. From motor vehicle accidents and rescue operations to training and community outreach, our volunteers are committed to serving Henderson County every day.

We are thankful for each and every volunteer who answers the call, sacrifices their time, and makes a difference in our communities.

Henderson County, We Need Your Help!

On Monday the 15th, we’re asking our community to come together and help save lives by donating blood.

Every donation can make a difference for someone in need, and your generosity could help provide critical care for patients facing emergencies, surgeries, illnesses, and more.

Please consider giving blood and encouraging others to do the same. Every donor counts, and all help is greatly appreciated.

Thank you for supporting our community and helping those who need it most. 🩸

🔥🚒 Another busy week for our department. From alarms and motor vehicle accidents to equipment fires, our volunteers have answered the call time and time again.

We would like to take a moment to thank each and every volunteer who gives their time away from family, work, and personal commitments to serve our community. Your dedication and willingness to respond at all hours is what makes our department and community stronger.

As we move into summer cleanup season and hay season gets into full swing, we encourage everyone to take extra precautions while operating equipment. Dry conditions, hot temperatures, and heavy workloads can quickly turn a small issue into a serious fire.

A water extinguisher or fire extinguisher carried on your tractor, baler, or other equipment could make all the difference. Having one readily available may help stop a fire before it spreads, potentially saving your equipment, crops, and property.

Please take a few extra minutes to inspect your equipment, clear away debris, and make sure you have a fire extinguisher on hand before heading to the field.

Thank you to our community for your continued support, and thank you to our volunteers for always being ready to serve.

Stay safe and have a blessed summer.

Today marks the last full-time shift for Chadd Gilliam after 10 years of dedicated service to our department. Over the years, Chadd has been a huge asset to the fire department, always willing to share his knowledge and lend a hand no matter the task. His experience, leadership, and ability to do just about anything have made a lasting impact on everyone he has worked with.

While today is his last day as a full-time firefighter, we are thankful that he will continue serving our department part-time as Battalion Chief.

We want to sincerely thank Chadd for everything he has done for this department and our community throughout the years. We wish him nothing but the best on his next journey and look forward to continuing to work alongside him.

Congratulations, Chadd, and thank you for your service!

🚨 Saturday afternoon, Districts 3 and 7 responded to an MVA on Interstate 40 where a vehicle had left the roadway and traveled approximately 100 feet down an embankment. Crews performed a successful rope rescue operation to safely remove the occupants, who were then transported to the landing zone for further medical care.

Rope operations are just one of the many specialized skills our volunteers train for and perform when our community needs us most.
