The Little Valley Fire Department currently operates out of one fire station that covers roughly 52 Square miles. Our apparatus includes one engine, one pumper/ tanker, One Brush Truck, One BLS Ambulance and one 6 wheeler. The district also contracts with the Towns of Mansfield and Napoli for ambulance and fire protection. Large fires which the Fire Department has responded to:

Oct. 29, 1923-Five two story buildings east side of Main Street, L.V. Higgs barber shop, Wible Candy Co., Barrett Pool room, Uz-U-Rite Restaurant, Brown & Robbins bakery were total loss at $30,000. February 23, 1985-Opera house, three story brick building at Erie Street and Park Place. Had several apartments on second floor. A liquor store and restaurant on the first floor at one time. Cattaraugus, East Randolph, Randolph, Salamanca, Ellicottville, East Otto, Otto and Allegany Indian Reservation responded. Total loss. Mar 13, 1989-Celia Howe Case- two story house containing several apartments. Corner of Main Street and South Court Street. Mutual aid of several departments. Nov. 1993-Rock City Hotel, total loss mutual aid from several departments. May 7, 2010 Philadelphia Furniture in Salamanca. Responded with Ladder truck and Engine. 42 Departments from three Counties responded or assisted.
