Monday, Aug. 31:
— Blood Drive at Tri County N/C Church in Mill Hall, 1-6 p.m.
— Drawing class at Friendship Community Center in Beech Creek. Class is free for those age 12 and older and runs from 4:30-6 p.m. Those who want to learn to draw are invited, as well as those with more experience who would like to learn to enhance their drawing skills and techniques. The drawing class is held each Monday.
— Friendship Community Library in Beech Creek is open from 3-7 p.m. Call 570-962-2048 for info.
— Join the Bald Eagle State Park naturalist at 6 p.m. to create your own bird feeder to take home. We will be building them using recycled supplies. This is environmentally friendly and more can be recreated at home later. Stop by the Environmental Learning Center below the main office any time from 6-7 p.m. All ages are welcome!
— Dunnstown Fire Company offers a Cash Bingo every Monday night at the fire station at 119 Woodward Ave., Lock Haven. Bingo starts at 6 p.m. and all proceeds help to support the fire company’s needs.
— TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) meets each Monday. Weigh-ins are at 4:30 p.m. and the program begins at 5 p.m. at the Flemington First Church of Christ, 714 Canal St., Lock Haven. All are welcome! Call Anna at 570-660-2087 for more info.
Tuesday, Sept. 1:
— Milesburg Food Bank distribution, 1-3 p.m., at the Milesburg Presbyterian Church.
— Blood Drive, 1-6 p.m., at American Legion Post 444, Millheim.
— The Covenant Cafe, an activity group for those in the early stages of Alzheimer’s disease or other dementias, will be meeting from 1 to 3 p.m., for a picnic at the Nature Park in McElhattan. The entree will be provided but attendees are asked to bring a side dish to share.
Master Gardeners Kathy Gillen and Lynda Cridge will be the guest presenters with a state flower quilt activity and other nature related activities. If the weather is inclement, there will be an indoor picnic at Covenant Church located at 44 W. Main St., Lock Haven.
Participants in this group are given an opportunity to be involved in socially and physically stimulating programs which will help them remain as active as possible. Wednesday, Sept. 2:
— Prayer Shawl Ministry meeting at noon at Bald Eagle United Presbyterian Church, Main St., Mill Hall. Prayer Shawl needleworkers will be showing their Clinton County Fair ribbons that they won for their many projects they crocheted, knitted or sewed for fair entry. Come see the winning entries and meet the friendly ladies involved in the PSM. A free lunch is provided for those attending. If you’d like to learn to crochet or knit come and we’ll coach you! Thursday, Sept. 3:
— Reservations are required for you to attend The Lock Haven Christian Women’s Connection’s “O Beautiful for Spacious Skies” luncheon on Sept. 9. The lunch and program will be held at the Flemington Church of Christ, 714 Canal St., Flemington. The guest feature presenter is Ron Dremel. Dremel’s presentation will discuss the contents and programs of The Piper Museum. The special music guest for the day is the extremely talented Linda Koch from the Bellefonte area, a vocal soloist, a pianist and she plays the bells. This month’s speaker will be Susan Pasquali from the Harrisburg area. Susan is a former make-up consultant for a major department store. Her talk focuses on ” What Women Really Want To Know.” The program begins at 11:50 a.m. Reservations are required by Sept. 3 by calling Bobbie Jo at 570-748-8708.

The midway on East Water Street from Jay to Henderson streets and the Arts and Crafts section in Canal Park from East Water Street to East Main Street will be open from 6-10 p.m.
— Bellefonte Art Museum for Centre County celebrates the nation’s 250th anniversary. The show is titled “This Land Is Your Land” and highlights the work of members of the Farmland Preservation Arts of Central Pennsylvania. The Museum, 133 N. Allegheny St., is open on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from noon to 4:30 with a major gathering on the first Sunday of each month. The exhibit is on display in September and October.
— Join the Little Pine State Park naturalist at 4 p.m. to learn about the different “Snakes of Pa.” Topics will include the myths that have come up, diets, habitat and more. Meet at the amphitheater.

Saturday, Sept. 5:
— Get ready for a day of music, local food, laughter and learning as Crickfest returns to Coburn Park, held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. rain or shine. — The 10th annual Budstock is set to take place throughout the day, as the free music event offers live music from 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Budstock, the annual free all day music festival will be celebrating a milestone this year as the group presents its 10th annual show starting at 11 a.m. The event has the perfect setting on Industrial Park Road, with the stage set up under the shadow of the coal tipple on the western end of Renovo.
