Haircuts provide confidence, a sense of self and expression and are often necessary to get a new job. To gift someone a haircut is to give them access to all of those wonderful things.

When everyone has their needs met in a dignified and respectful way, mental health, physical health, safety and city beauty increase exponentially!

If you're in the area and need some free, fresh produce and other groceries - we're here for you!!

Right now over 20% of Long Beach's population is food insecure. Children, elderly, disabled... people that can't work. Also people that ARE working and aren't making a livable wage in today's economy or are racked with medical bills.

We don't know everyone's story, but we do know that this is our community. So we're going to do everything in our power to take care of those that need it most!

Food banks across the country are seeing more families come through their doors.

NBC News surveyed food banks in 35 states and Washington, D.C. Nearly three in four said they’re serving more people than last year. At the same time, higher food and fuel costs mean every dollar has to stretch further to get food to communities.

No single thing is behind this. Grocery prices, rent, transportation, health care costs and changes to food assistance are all adding up at once. Neighbors are telling us this isn’t a short rough patch. In our recent survey of people who have experienced food insecurity, 81% said people in their community are dealing with long-term financial stress, not temporary hardship.

That’s why food banks are planning now for a longer stretch of need. Programs like SNAP and local food banks work best side by side, and both types of support must remain strong for neighbors.

With groceries, gas and rent going up - over 20% of people in the Long Beach area struggle with food insecurity on a regular basis.

As members of the community, as loving people, as human beings - it's our responsibility to care for those struggling around us as best we can. No one in one of the wealthiest countries on Earth should be going hungry. No one should be without soap or feminine hygiene products. No one should be wearing the same outfit every day for weeks or months because it's their only option.

We are here to alleviate those stressors from those struggling most! If you can't get food on your table without struggling seriously in another facet of your life - this is for you.
