Before anything else, I want to personally express my deepest gratitude to the members of the Loogootee Volunteer Fire Department, our incredible Ladies Auxiliary, and every individual who volunteered their time and effort to make our 5th Annual Fire Run possible.
Countless hours were spent planning, organizing, setting up, working throughout the day, and cleaning up afterward. Your dedication, teamwork, and willingness to step up—whether it was behind the scenes or out front—did not go unnoticed. This event would not have been possible without each and every one of you, and I am truly honored and grateful to serve alongside such an outstanding group of people, who helped make our 5th Annual Fire Run a success.
While Mother Nature didn't exactly cooperate with us, we were still blessed with a great turnout and an incredible day of fellowship and community support. We had 32 Jeeps, one classic old-time truck, and five emergency vehicles leading and protecting the procession. Seeing everyone come together despite the weather truly speaks to the amazing support our department receives.
A very special thank you also goes out to all of our vendors and sponsors. Your generosity and continued support play a vital role in making events like this possible. We truly appreciate your willingness to partner with our department and invest in our community. Please support these businesses and organizations whenever you have the opportunity.
I also want to recognize the agencies that helped ensure the safety of everyone during the run. A sincere thank you to the Loogootee Police Department, Martin County Sheriff's Department, Martin County Civil Defense, and Montgomery Fire Department for assisting with traffic control at key intersections throughout the route. Your professionalism and teamwork helped make the event run smoothly and safely.
To everyone who participated, volunteered, attended, donated, or supported us in any way—thank you. Your continued support means more than words can express. It is because of this outstanding community that our department continues to thrive and serve the citizens of Loogootee and the surrounding area.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for making our 5th Annual Fire Run another memorable event. We are honored to serve such an amazing community, and we look forward to seeing everyone again next year!
