For more than 40 years, the LAUSD Magnet Program has been in the forefront of innovation, providing high-quality instruction and rigorous, theme-based curriculum for students in Kindergarten through 12th grade. These Court-Ordered Voluntary Integration programs bring together students from different economic, ethnic and racial backgrounds; provide equitable access to challenging, rigorous instruction; and, are supported by Institutions of Higher Learning and the business community. There are 260 Magnet Programs that fall within one of the 8 different Magnet themes to choose from including Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics, Visual and Performing Arts, Gifted, Highly Gifted, and more. Applications may be submitted on line through the e-Choices website or paper applications may be found in your local schools, Educational Service Centers, Parent Community Services Branch, LAUSD Administrative Building, and Los Angeles City Public Libraries. The Student Integration Services office will start accepting on-time applications on October 2, 2017. The deadline to apply is Friday, November 9, 2018.
