A new sign of hope is rising in the heart of Skid Row. 🏠💛

Rosa’s Place, an expansion of the Downtown Women’s Center, is bringing 97 new permanent supportive housing units to women and survivors of gender-based violence who have experienced homelessness.

Expected to open in fall 2027, Rosa’s Place will nearly double the Downtown Women’s Center’s permanent supportive housing and provide more women with a safe place to heal, rebuild, and move forward.

As we continue working toward solutions to homelessness across Los Angeles, we’re encouraged to see more spaces being created where our neighbors can find stability, community, and hope.

At our Pet Wellness Event, Downtown Dog Rescue joined us to provide basic wellness exams, treatment, and resources for pets in our community. 🐾❤️

Dr. Rachel Hoffman and the Downtown Dog Rescue team brought compassionate, accessible veterinary care directly to pet owners in need, helping ensure their animals could receive important care and support.

We’re so grateful to Downtown Dog Rescue for helping make compassionate veterinary care more accessible to the people and pets in our community. Thank you for being part of such a special day!

Many people would describe Los Angeles Mission as a place of restoration. ❤️🙏

It’s a place where people can find support, rebuild, and take meaningful steps toward a new chapter. For Chaplain Keith Newton, restoration is something he has experienced personally through his faith and now sees reflected in the lives of those at the Mission.

This is what community looks like. 💛

Tyrone House is an LA Family Housing interim housing site that provides families experiencing homelessness with a safe place to stay and support as they work toward permanent housing.

After being closed for two years for renovations, Tyrone House is welcoming families back with 12 family units, larger living spaces, fully equipped kitchens, a safe outdoor area for children to play, and 24/7 onsite staff support.

To help prepare for their arrival, nearly 30 volunteers from nine local Home Depot stores set up the rooms, while local businesses donated beds, furniture, linens, cleaning supplies, and other essentials to help families feel at home from day one.

Now, 12 families are moving into a welcoming, family-centered environment with resources and support designed to help them build greater stability. 🙌

It’s a powerful reminder of what can happen when a community comes together to care for its neighbors.
