🚨 Attention Jefferson County Residents! 🚨

The Waste Reduction Center will have updated hours beginning August 18.

🕒 New Hours of Operation Tuesday-Friday • 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. • 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Saturday • 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (no change)

✅ Please plan your visit accordingly.
✅ Be sure to review disposal fees before arriving.
✅ Only credit and debit cards are accepted for payment.

Beginning Tuesday, August 18, the Waste Reduction Center at 636 Meriwether Ave will have updated operating hours Tuesday through Friday.

New Tuesday-Friday Hours:
• Open as usual at 8 a.m.
• Closed for lunch from noon to 1 p.m.
• Closing at 4:30 p.m. (previously 5 p.m.)

Saturday hours remain unchanged and are 8 a.m. – 3 p.m.

We appreciate your understanding as we make these adjustments to ensure we can continue providing safe, reliable service for our community.

🚨 Waste Reduction Center Hours Update 🚨

Heads up, Louisville!

Starting August 18, the Waste Reduction Center on Meriwether Avenue will be making a few adjustments to its weekday hours:

Tuesday-Friday: 🔹 Closed daily from 12-1 p.m. 🔹 Closing at 4:30 p.m. each day

Saturday hours are not changing.

These updates will help us maintain consistent staffing and continue providing safe, efficient service to our community. We appreciate your understanding and encourage residents to plan ahead for future visits.

We had a blast touring FirstBuild yesterday!

If you haven't heard of FirstBuild, it's a makerspace backed by GE where people can take classes, build projects, learn new skills, and turn creative ideas into reality. The space is full of innovation, tools, and talented makers.

We're already exploring ways that kNOw Waste and FirstBuild can work together in the future. A swap event? A repair fair? Something completely new? The possibilities are exciting, and we can't wait to keep the conversation going.
