The weather is finally cooling down, but your recycling habits don't have to! Give your empty paper cup a second life by placing it in recycling! Better yet, bring your own travel mug to a coffee shop that will fill it!

♻️ Finish. Empty. Recycle. (Plastic lids can be recycled too, but they might not get recovered due to their small size.)

🚮 Friendly Recycling Reminder for residents in the Urban Services District! ♻️
This week is NOT a recycling collection week if you have Metro Solid Waste services, so please keep your recycling carts stored until your next scheduled recycling pickup next week.
✅ Remember:
• Only set your recycling cart out during your designated recycling week
• Place carts at the curb the night before your collection day
• After collection, please pull your cart back in promptly to help keep our neighborhoods looking their best
📱 Want an easy way to stay on top of your collection schedule? Download Recycle Coach! It does much more than help you figure out what goes where. Recycle Coach can also send you notifications about:
• Garbage, recycling, and yard waste pickup days
• Pop-Up Drop-Off events
• Community waste events

Don’t forget to recycle items from the bathroom! Empty shampoo bottles, soap containers, toilet paper rolls, aerosol cans, and more can be recycled. Keep toothbrushes, razors, wipes, tissues, and other very small items out of the recycling cart. ♻️

Reduce before you recycle! Choose reusable options when possible, such as refillable soap containers, reusable cotton rounds, and traditional dental floss instead of disposable floss picks. Every reusable item helps reduce waste and conserve resources.

Recycling KING! My favorite Louisville Metro recycling place to take plastics, etc, is Hubbards Ln at US 42 because of Tim Burns . He was out there in 108 degrees heat helpful and happy as always with everyone. His grilling ideas are great.. I always head straight to the supermarket🌞
