We help all animals whether feathery, furry, or scaly! This bullsnake needed some encouragement to slither along to a better location! These snakes will “shake” their tails in order to look like a rattlesnake. Be careful when hiking or walking through tall grasses.

This is what natural resource management looks like! Boyd Lake Boat Inspectors discovered these pesky little mussels on a boat from out of state this afternoon. Please note- 🚨Swim Beach News News🚨
Unfortunately, there will be no “designated swim area” at the beach this season. This decision was made due to — you guessed it— low water levels.
There’s an increased amount of mud with the low water and a significant distance to the water from the pavilion, which all can impact safety and enjoyment of the beach. Visitors can still swim in the lake, but it’s at your own risk. Our priority is to ensure a safe and pleasant experience for everyone! We appreciate your understanding and patience as we work through this low water year.

🚤 🛥️ With the kick-off of summer happening soon, boaters should be prepared for “boating capacities” at reservoirs around the state!

We will be implementing this management plan this season to promote safe and enjoyable boating on the water.
Once the lake is at “boating capacity”, no more boats will be allowed to launch and there will be no waiting in line to launch.

Returning at a later time or starting your voyage early in the morning will be advised.
