The mission of the Lubbock Parks and Recreation Department is to deliver a variety of safe, accessible, affordable, and diverse programs through the utilization of facilities, open spaces, and scenic resources to enrich the lives of the citizens and visitors of the City of Lubbock. The vision of the Lubbock Parks and Recreation Department is to create exceptional and enriching experiences through
diverse recreation opportunities that highlight natural, cultural, historic, and scenic resources. The Parks and Recreation Department consists of four sections including Parks Maintenance, Park Development, Indoor Recreation, and Outdoor Recreation. Core Values
