YKK AP America’s $125 million investment in Macon-Bibb County became a reality in 2024 with the opening of its 200,000+ square-foot residential manufacturing facility. Today, the state-of-the-art operation employs 250+ people and continues to strengthen Macon’s reputation as a destination for advanced manufacturing.

Agile Cold Storage continues to expand its footprint in Macon-Bibb County with its 275,000-square-foot, multi-temperature distribution facility, which represents a $150 million investment and supports 110 jobs. Since celebrating its grand opening in 2024, the facility has strengthened Macon’s position as a hub for logistics and food distribution.

At Macon Water Authority, we're not just planning for today—we're planning for the future.

In many cases, our Engineering Department is designing and planning projects years, and sometimes decades, before they're needed. The water and wastewater infrastructure being designed today may serve not only you, but your children and even your grandchildren.

Every project begins with careful planning. Engineers evaluate future population growth, aging infrastructure, environmental regulations, and the community's long-term needs to help ensure reliable water and wastewater service for generations to come.

Today, we honor the life and legacy of George Israel.

A former Mayor of Macon and a dedicated public servant, George’s leadership helped shape Macon’s community for decades. In addition to serving on the Macon-Bibb County Industrial Authority Board, he led organizations including the Macon Chamber of Commerce, the Macon Economic Development Commission, and the Georgia Chamber of Commerce, while also serving on the YKK Board of Directors.

We are grateful for his service, leadership, and lasting impact on Macon-Bibb. Our thoughts are with his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
