My morning classes were the perfect blend of ELA and art- Comic book creators. Their summer school learning led to a finished comic book project written and illustrated by each individual student. We have spent the last few days presenting their final projects. Pictured are some of the students from 2A, 2B, 3A, and 3B during the presentation days.

Summer school art class fun this week! We began the week learning about artist Seurat and his dot paintings. The student challenge- painting with only dots, and being limited to only primary colors letting the brain/eyes do the color mixing to make secondary colors. We ended the week with a fun mask making lesson inspired by masks made around the world.

Summer school art classes are in full swing. Pictured are the 2B, 3A, and 3B classes with their completed sunglasses portraits! The pictures were taken as groups of artists finished so that eventually most of the class ended up in the last picture. The kids really enjoyed this project.
